Thankfully/Fortunately/Luckily, a kind stranger/passerby/neighbor happened/saw/noticed me and offered/gave/extended to help. They called/phoned/rang a tow truck/ locksmith/mechanic and within a short time/an hour/a little while, I was free/released/able to leave. It was a harrowing/scary/frightening experience, but it served as/taught me/highlighted the importance of always being prepared/organized/careful with my keys.
